2023 Kia Carnival MPV
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2023 Kia Carnival MPV replaced the longtime Sedona minivan in the lineup, although it looks more like an SUV from the outside. It's available in four trim levels: LX, EX, SX, and SX Prestige. Exterior equipment on the base trim includes heated side mirrors, power-sliding rear doors, and 17-inch alloy wheels. It also shows off bold LED lighting on the front end, flanked by a geometric-style front grille.
The EX trim adds larger wheels and a hands-free liftgate, while the sportier SX trim has black wheels, a matte-chrome grille with complementary satin-chrome trim, LED fog lights, and power-folding mirrors. This model also boasts roof rails. Choose the SX Prestige to get upgraded LED lighting on the front and back ends and dual power sunroofs.

Interior
Depending on the configuration, the Carnival can seat seven or eight passengers in its cabin. The interior also comes with soft-touch materials and premium tech, such as a six-speaker sound system connected to an 8-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, and USB ports throughout the three rows of seating. The base trim also has cloth upholstery, removable second-row captain's chairs, and dual-zone climate control.
An optional package bundles heated front seats, simulated leather upholstery, and a bench in the second row that takes the Carnival's seating capacity to eight. These features come standard on the EX, along with an upgraded 12.3-inch touchscreen, tri-zone climate control, and integrated navigation. This model also comes with ventilated front seats and driver's seat memory settings. The top-level SX Prestige offers a heated steering wheel, a 12-speaker Bose sound system, and leather upholstery. You can add a dual-screen rear-seat entertainment system as an option on either of the top two trim levels.
Safety Features
All Carnival models come well-equipped on the safety side, boasting an impressive suite of active driver aids. It bundles a driver attention warning system, forward collision mitigation, lane-departure mitigation, and pedestrian detection. You'll always know when a vehicle is in your blind spot, thanks to the standard monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. Additional standard features include safe-exit assist and rear parking sensors.
The EX trim adds lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and front parking sensors, plus cyclist detection in its collision-mitigation system. A few extra features come on the sportier EX: a surround-view camera, rear automatic braking, and a blind-spot camera.
